Happy Angry Bird-Day Liam

I can't believe my baby boy turned 5!!  Recently, Liam has been all about Angry Birds.  He loves all of them: Original, Space, Star Wars, Rio, and the Holiday, of course we monitor how much he actually gets to play them.  So with his love of Angry Birds he wanted an Angry Bird-Day party.  I found some Angry Bird invitations, plates, cups, napkins, tablecloths, table decorations, and balloons at Target and a party planning store.  To make it easier on us, we decided to have it at Chuck E Cheese, one of Liam's favorite places.  Only two of Liam's friends and their parents could make it plus Liam's Godmother, Lisa, and us.  It was a small party, but we all had a great time!

The morning of Liam's birthday I made him a special Angry Bird breakfast and he got to open up a few presents before his party.

I got Liam and Kinley dressed in their Angry Bird shirts and we headed to Chuck E Cheese to celebrate his birthday.

I made him chocolate cupcakes with marshmallow frosting with sprinkles.

Each of the kiddos got some tokens to go play some games.

Then we sat down for some pizza & fruit salad

Then it was time for singing Happy Birthday and cupcakes!

And of course PRESENTS!!

After presents Liam and Daddy hopped in the Ticket Blaster, he was going for the 1000 Ticket

Seems like yesterday I was riding in the back seat with my new little bundle of joy while the hubby drove us extra cautiously home in the snow.  We are blessed to have such an incredible, smart, and caring boy full of spunk, who's an awesome Big Brother and a Joy in our lives.  His thirst for knowledge and never ending questions amazes us.  We thank God for blessing us with such a Happy and Healthy baby who has grown into such a wonderful boy.  Oh how time flies.  We are Proud of you and all your accomplishments so far and look forward to watching you grow each and everyday.  We cherish each moment of your life.

HAPPY HAPPY 5th BIRTHDAY my Sweet Little Liam.  We Love you with all our hearts, Mommy & Daddy

Lady Angry Bird

Liam is ALL about Angry Birds these days.  So I made this cute little Angry Bird Onesie for Kinley to wear to his Angry Bird-Day party.

Since I couldn't find an Angry Bird onesie for her I decided to just make one.  It was really easy.  I found an Angry Bird t-shirt in the little girl department at Walmart then cut out the Angry Bird picture printed on the front.  Then I used some two sided iron on material adhesive I found at Hobby Lobby.  I stuck it to one of the sides of the adhesive then cut around the edges.  Then found a one of Kinley's plain white oneies and ironed it on.  It turned out so cute!

Rainbow Cupcakes

With Liam's birthday coming up I decided to bake some cupcakes to bring to Liam's class.  I wanted to make them fun for the kids so I made them rainbow.  They were easy to make and the kids loved them.

Happy New Year

Since we were still in Texas for New Year's Eve and day I didn't get to do our mini holiday photo shoot till we got back home, so here's the picture I took in Texas.....

And here's the ones I took back at home.

Happy 2013 Everyone!

Time to go back home?

Well, it was the morning of the 27th, Christmas had come and gone which meant it was time for us to drive back home.....however those plans were changed when we decided for the kiddos and I to stay in Texas with my family and the hubby drive back home to work.  The reason for the change in plans...well, Liam was full blown sick, Kinley and I were starting to catch it.  So we stayed behind so mom could help me out with the kiddos while I tried to get better myself.  Plus I wanted to take them to the doctor to check them out, but all they told me was that it was a cold and just had to run its course.  So our extended stay consisted of many, many Vicks Vapor baths, lots of Tylenol for fevers, boxes and boxes of tissues, wrestling with Kinley to put saline drops in her nose so I could suction out the boogers, purchases of two cool mist humidifiers, and a few nights of sleeping upright with Kinley laying on my chest so she could breath.  Thank goodness I stayed, mom took care of and slept with Liam at night while I took care of Kinley.  I was sooo happy when they FINALLY started to feel better, of course it was the last two days of our stay before the hubby drove back to San Antonio to pick us up and take us back to Las Cruces.  I did take a few pictures...

After our treats we went outside for a little bit

After extending our trip by 12 days the hubby drove back to pick us all up on January 7th and we drove back home to New Mexico.  It was a LONG drive home!  We finally rolled into our driveway around 2am (Mountain Time) but to the kiddos and I it really felt like 3am (Central Time).  The next two days we just hung out at home catching up on sleep, unpacking, and just relaxing.  It was good to be around family but sure is nice to be home.
